Stem Cells: Hope, Hype and Progress (Auckland)

Stem cell science has captured the public’s imagination. This workshop aims to reach out to the broad spinal cord injury community - clinicians and people with spinal cord injury alike. Join us to hear about the latest findings in stem cell research and what is happening with stem cell tourism. Discuss the issues that matter to you and tell us about your personal experiences.

The event will be hosted by  Spinal Cord Injury Network, Stem Cells Australia and Centre for Brain Research.

Film maker Ben Byer searches the globe for answers after being diagnosed with the fatal condition ALS.

Join us in a dialogue to discuss the critical issues around stem cell research, the promise of new stem cell treatments and seeking experimental therapies abroad.
