Stem Cells Australia has a strong governance and organisational structure to provide oversight of strategic and scientific direction.
With the extension in funding from the Australian Research Council, Stem Cells Australia has restructured its governance arrangements. The new structure comprises an Independent Board, the National Steering Committee and a Stakeholder Committee

The National Steering Committee is assisted by two advisory committees – the Scientific Advisory Committee and the Development Advisory Committee. In addition, the National Steering Committee is supported by four specialised sub-committees addressing: Engagement, Ethics & Policy; Infrastructure; Capacity-building & Training; and Clinical & Commercial Translation.

The Stem Cells Australia governance arrangements also administer the MRFF Accelerated Research funding.
